One thing is clear in the spring issue of The North Texan: Our alums are fighters.
Some are cancer fighters, combatting the deadly disease as doctors, researchers and resource specialists. Others are crime fighters, using their expertise to make our communities safer. One alum fought to make UNT's Multicultural Center a reality. Another fights to secure her spot in skeleton at the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Taking the Plunge
Ryan Hooks ('16) is all about shattering expectations, whether for himself or others. At just 22 years old, the UNT Department of Communication Studies alumnus was named head of sales at iFLY Indoor Skydiving in Frisco. He also pushed for the location to expand its All Abilities Night, a special evening for members of the special needs community (see video).
