UNT isn't just about breaking records -- although we've been doing quite a bit of that, with 9,465 degrees awarded last year, 76 National Merit Finalists calling the campus home, and enrollment that hit an all-time high of 38,154 this fall. No, we're even bigger on breaking boundaries, which is especially clear in our fall cover story that details how UNT is preparing the ever-evolving Generation Z for the creative economy.
And that's not all we've done to make sure our students and alums can take a sledgehammer to traditional expectations. The College of Music's Career Development and Entrepreneurship in Music program helps musicians strike just the right chord as business owners. The College of Education prepares its students to build their own career paths, both in and out of the classroom. And alums like Dave Copps ('91) and Sunny Nunan ('95) used the versatile skill sets they acquired at UNT to launch successful DFW-based businesses.
So read on to learn more about our past -- and our future-focused present.

Homecoming 2018:
Let's make a (big) deal about this year's Mean Green Game Show homecoming theme, which includes a host of fun events. And don't forget to stop by The North Texan booth during tailgating from noon to 2:30 pm at Mean Green Village before the football game against Rice at 3 pm on Sept. 27, to play trivia and win prizes.
