University of North Texas The North Texan

Sure, it's the holiday season, but UNT gifts the North Texas region (and beyond) with creativity and innovation year-round. Nothing proves that better than our special winter issue, the President's Annual Report, which details the university's incredible annual advancements in areas ranging from research and entrepreneurship to athletics and the arts. Not to mention, our incredible alums have developed products and services that make for perfect holiday presents, our youngest-known Ph.D. recipient graduated this month, and experts from the UNT family have offered tips throughout the years that can help you achieve your New Year's resolutions.

While creativity never sleeps at UNT, we hope that you do. Here's to a restful, relaxing holiday season.

President's Annual Report

UNT accomplished big goals in the last year as part of our steadfast commitment to success — conferring a record-breaking 9,465 degrees, securing more than $36 million in philanthropic contributions, growing federal research expenditures to $45.8 million and scoring the winningest Mean Green athletics season in 40 years. And the university is marching into a new year with even larger goals, supporting students to achieve their greatest dreams and preparing them for careers in a rapidly changing world.

Creativity Never Sleeps

UNT is a place where creativity and technology merge to drive innovation in every facet of our university. Our most recent video illustrates how, at UNT, creativity never sleeps, rather seeping into all we do — even our athletic plays.
